Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery and Hand Surgery

Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgery deals with restoration procedures following accidents or cancer and the creation of a normal form and function in cases of congenital malformation. A large number and variety of methods are necessary for a reconstruction due to the diversity of defect size, type and location. The department offers the entire range of modern reconstruction procedures from tissue transplantation to the free microsurgical transplantation of perfused tissue combined with skin, bones, muscles and nerves. In addition to functional recovery, the aesthetic aspect is also taken into account for all plastic surgical operations.
