Undergraduate education

Insurance medicine is a critical part of the “Public Health” sphere.  In collaboration with the Swiss TPH (Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute), the curriculum on insurance medicine provides the basic knowledge about insurance-related issues that physicians encounter in daily patient care.

Important topics include the Social and Private Insurance System in Switzerland, the Federal Health Insurance Act, the Accident Insurance Act, Disability Insurance Law, Daily Allowance Insurance and Pensions Funds, Disability and Invalidity, Risk Assessment Prevention and Return To Work, Case Management, Role, Function and Interaction of the Physician with Insurance Providers, Current Developments.
