Medical Centers

At the University Hospital Basel, we are pursuing the strategy of closely following the patient journey through diagnosis, treatment and follow-up by setting up medical centers. Through interdisciplinary and interprofessional practice, we ensure even better coordination between all specialists involved in diagnostics and treatment. 

Specialization will continue to increase in medicine in the future, which will further improve the efficiency of therapies. At the same time, it will make it difficult for patients to find their way around the hospital system. We are counteracting this complexity by forming medical centers.
