5th Basel Workshop on Current Concepts of Chest Wall Stabilization and Reconstruction
It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 5th Basel Workshop on Current Concepts of Chest Wall Stabilization and Reconstruction.
We will again focus on rib fixation and on surgical management of sternum fractures. We will also discuss indications and practical aspects of chest wall resection and reconstruction. A second part will be the presentation of interesting cases with focus on indications and the timing of operation.
In this context we present the 3 most frequently used systems in this field and give the opportunity to the participants to become familiar with the different techniques. We will have the honor to share the expertise and the support of outstanding international experts.
Finally we will have the unique chance to practically test all systems in the Anatomical Institute of the University of Basel.
Register now, we are looking forward to welcome you in Basel,
Prof. Didier Lardinois, Head of Department of Thoracic Surgery
Dr. Aljaz Hojski, Consultant of Department of Thoracic Surgery
