What happens if a lump is found in your breast? What are the next steps if an examination detects something suspicious? Women with suspected breast cancer want the situation clarified as soon as possible. The Breast Care Centre team looks after patients and provides essential support at every stage of treatment.

Genetic testing

Sometimes genetic testing (DNA analysis) may be a good idea – especially if there is a high incidence of cancer in your family. The most important pointers are your own family history, with particular attention paid to breast, ovarian, pancreatic and prostate cancer among blood relations. During an in-depth consultation, our specialists analyse your family tree to assess your individual risk for breast or ovarian cancer and may recommend genetic testing where appropriate.
