Urological Tumour Centre

The Urological Tumour Centre consists of urologists, radio-oncologists, oncologists and top specialists from different disciplines working together to provide patients and referring doctors with ready access to expert diagnosis and treatment of prostate, bladder and kidney tumours.

We offer rapid and thorough diagnostics, following which the findings are  presented to our interdisciplinary Tumour Board. Members of the Board then discuss the available treatment options with the patient and draw up a broadly supported personal treatment plan.

The range of services provided by the Urological Tumour Centre not only includes state-of-the-art diagnostics and robotic surgery, highly specialised radiotherapy techniques and innovative medicines, but also provides comprehensive personal advice and support to patients. To this end, we offer a consultation with specialists from both urology and radio oncology who discuss with the patient the diagnostic results and the recommended treatment plan. This is  supplemented by comprehensive psychological advice and support to address any worries or concerns triggered by the disease.

Our active involvement in national and international clinical trials expands the range of potential treatment options for our patients. For example, we are part of the Schweizerischen Arbeitsgruppe für Klinische Krebsforschung (SAKK), a clinical cancer research group, so we can offer our patients early treatment with the very latest cancer drugs and immune therapies.
