Projects for practice/quality development in the divisions and departments

The focus of practice development is to ensure that all practice is consistently geared towards optimal patient care, evidence and outcomes. Systematic planning is crucial when implementing and supporting changes in practice. Here the direction is set by the methodology of practice development, as described in the handbook of Practice Development in Nursing.

In their role as responsible nurse or Advanced Practice Nurse, nursing specialists with a Höfa II, BSc or MNS qualification work on relevant themes and projects as part of nursing’s strategic goals. A number of projects are reported below, some of which have already been presented in workshops or conferences.
Our nursing experts receive focused support from APE and division heads through individual coaching, active learning, the Literature Club and workshops.

A formative evaluation was carried out in 2011 to further develop the role.
