Research
The research activities of the Medical Genetics Department mainly comprise clinically oriented basic research in the Faculty of Medicine's key research areas of "Neurobiology" and "Oncology". The focus is on the genetic analysis of multifactorial diseases, in particular neuropsychiatric disorders, hereditary bowel cancer and congenital developmental disorders. Research is closely linked to the Department of Biomedicine and the Department of Clinical Research.
