Theme week: Bone fractures in old age

Does a femur fracture always require surgery? What will happen to me in the emergency center? What does the anesthetist look out for during anesthesia? How long do I have to stay in the acute care hospital? Do I always have to go to a nursing home after a femoral neck fracture?
From December 5 to 9, the "Bone fractures in old age" theme week at the AltersTraumaZentrum DGU® (ATZ) Basel is all about bone fractures in elderly patients.
Specialists from Orthopaedics & Traumatology at the University Hospital Basel and the University Geriatric Medicine Felix Platter will be answering frequently asked questions and providing information about the services and treatment options available at the ATZ Basel.
In addition, on December 3 from 18:10 - 18:40, SRF1 will broadcast a report on the topic in the "Gesundheit Heute" series. It's worth tuning in!
