Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
What do I have to consider when photographing the skin change?
Take at least one overview photo (with sufficient distance) and 2-3 more close-ups (different perspectives). The photos should be taken against a light, non-reflective background and should not be blurred. Depending on the skin changes, it may be useful to use a scale as a reference.

No. Our service is not suitable for emergencies. In urgent cases, please contact our dermatology department or the relevant emergency medical service by telephone.
Is an online dermatology consultation just as good as a conventional consultation with a doctor?
Various studies show that often no personal doctor-patient contact is necessary to recognize a disease. In dermatology in particular, as a visual specialty, a treatment recommendation can be made by specialists after images and corresponding information have been transmitted. However, an online consultation will not always be able to replace a visit to the doctor.
How will I be informed when I have received an answer?
You will be notified either by e-mail or text message in the event of queries or a definitive answer from your dermatologist. During registration, you can specify whether you would like to be notified by SMS and/or e-mail. You can change this at any time.
