Teaching
We understand our academic task within the framework of scientifically sound practical training as a permanent questioning and improvement of medical activity. With this in mind, we support and encourage an alert, inquiring attitude.
We train medical and dental students at our clinic for oral and maxillofacial surgery. If you are interested in an internship or clinical traineeship, please contact our head physician's office.
Applicants for junior assistant positions can send their documents to the teaching secretariat for surgery. Please indicate "Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery" as your preferred discipline.

Further training events / Journalclub MKG-Chirurgie
Our training events take place every Monday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the library of the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery, University Hospital Basel, Spitalstrasse 21, Clinic I, 1st floor.
Participation is free of charge. External colleagues are also welcome to attend without prior registration! (If required, a certificate of attendance can be issued).

Postgraduate training in oral and maxillofacial surgery (FMH)
The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University Hospital Basel is a category A training center in the specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Doctors undergoing further training to become specialists in oral and maxillofacial surgery (FMH) can complete their entire specialist training at our clinic.
