Anaesthesia & Coexisting Disease

The ICU team is very pleased to present exciting and varied training courses on the topic of "Anesthesia and Coexisting Disease" in the upcoming block course.

In view of the ageing population, the complexity of patients is also increasing, with numerous comorbidities to be taken into account during surgical and perioperative treatment. Today's medicine enables us to practice precise medicine in diagnostics and therapy.

This block course will therefore present practice-relevant lectures on various clinical pictures from a wide range of specialist areas. Of course, the program also includes relevant intensive care topics, as well as a lecture on the planning, implementation and interpretation of clinical studies.

Using the latest scientific findings, new guidelines and everyday experiences, these lectures aim to refresh existing knowledge, convey new information and promote innovative ideas.

In addition to invited speakers from our own ranks and from Switzerland, we have also been able to attract leading international specialists from Europe and Canada to give a lecture in Basel, guaranteeing a varied series of talks.

We look forward to enriching insights, a large audience and lively discussions about evidence and everyday clinical practice - either on site or virtually.

This year's Autumn Symposium of Anesthesiology Nursing will take place on November 12, 2022 at the Center for Teaching and Research of the University Hospital Basel. We will inform you promptly in the event of any unforeseen changes.
