Sub-assistants in the emergency center
Tasks
- Care of emergency patients under the supervision of assistant and senior physicians
- Bedside teaching in focused anamnesis, clinical examination, diagnosis of laboratory, ECG and X-ray images as well as emergency sonography
- Participation in team training

Learning objectives
Students gain an insight into the basic care of the urban catchment area and the special aspects of center surgery.
This includes
- Dealing with patients and their relatives
- Independently taking the medical history and performing the examination
- Correctly recording status and local status
- Planning the clarifications
- Making differential diagnostic considerations
- Manual skills such as wound care
- Performing minor surgical procedures independently under supervision, introduction to suturing techniques
- Carrying out diagnostic and therapeutic measures
- Case presentation at reports
- Writing KG entries and reports
Program duration
One to four months, if possible from the first day of the month to the last day of the last month.
