Sub-assistants in the emergency center

  • Care of emergency patients under the supervision of assistant and senior physicians
  • Bedside teaching in focused anamnesis, clinical examination, diagnosis of laboratory, ECG and X-ray images as well as emergency sonography
  • Participation in team training
  • Free medStandards access(www.medstandards.ch) for self-study

Students gain an insight into the basic care of the urban catchment area and the special aspects of center surgery.

This includes

  • Dealing with patients and their relatives
  • Independently taking the medical history and performing the examination
  • Correctly recording status and local status
  • Planning the clarifications
  • Making differential diagnostic considerations
  • Manual skills such as wound care
  • Performing minor surgical procedures independently under supervision, introduction to suturing techniques
  • Carrying out diagnostic and therapeutic measures
  • Case presentation at reports
  • Writing KG entries and reports

One to four months, if possible from the first day of the month to the last day of the last month.
