Abdominal treatments

Tummy tuck (abdominoplasty)

Treatment information

  • The procedure consists of several individual steps. First, a transverse incision is made in the lower abdomen to detach the skin from the underlying tissue. Then fatty tissue and excess skin are removed. In the next step, the abdominal muscles are tightened, as they hold the abdomen in shape like a corset. The navel is then repositioned or reconstructed in a minor procedure a few weeks after the operation.
  • The treatment usually takes 2 to 3 hours
  • Downtime: 2 weeks

  • After 6 weeks,
  • Final result after approx. 3 months

  • General anesthesia

from CHF 6,000

During an abdominoplasty, excess fat and skin are removed. In most cases, weakened or separated muscles are also strengthened to achieve a flatter, firmer abdominal profile. Abdominoplasty is not a substitute for weight loss or exercise, but is much more indicated if the above two measures have already been taken and there is a sagging abdominal wall.

OR

Excess skin on the abdomen after weight loss or pregnancy can be very distressing. A permanent correction option is a tummy tuck. Depending on the extent, the excess skin can be removed with or without moving the belly button. In either case, excess skin and underlying fat is removed from the abdominal wall. Sometimes the abdominal muscles are also tightened if there is a muscle gap, for example after pregnancy (rectus diastasis). However, a tummy tuck is not an option for body weight reduction and is unsuitable for patients with a BMI > 30.

We would be happy to meet you for a 30-minute consultation to discuss the options and expected recovery phases.

Liposuction

Information on treatment

  • Using the tumescent technique, a solution is injected into the liposuction area, which ensures that the area is pain-free. The corresponding areas of the body swell due to the pressure generated and a vasoconstriction occurs. The fat cells fill up with the fluid and can thus be filtered out of the connective tissue. After a short exposure time, the fat cells and the injected solution are suctioned out using fine cannulas.
  • The duration of treatment varies
  • Downtime: 2 to 3 days

  • After 6 weeks,
  • Final result approx. 6 months

  • Local anesthesia or anesthesia

from 4'000 CHF

This treatment enables excess fat deposits to be suctioned out using negative pressure. This allows a contour to be shaped in a targeted manner. Possible areas for this are the abdomen, flanks, buttocks, thighs, upper arms and back. This treatment is not a substitute for diet or exercise and is not suitable as a treatment for cellulite. Liposuction does not cause tightening; in areas with little skin elasticity, it can be combined with a tightening procedure (upper arm/thigh lift and tummy tuck).

As an alternative to surgical liposuction, we offer the reduction of fatty tissue using a low-pain outpatient machine application:

EmSculpt uses magnetic resonance to both reduce fatty tissue and build up muscle tissue. The treatment of the abdomen or buttocks leads to a firming and definition of the muscles. As a rule, four treatments are carried out at intervals of two to three days. A repeat treatment can be carried out if necessary.
