• Hyaluronidase is injected into the affected area, where it breaks down the hyaluronic acid molecules and thus dissolves the filler. This process allows the doctor to correct uneven distribution, overcorrection or other irregularities caused by previous filler injections. • Worn-out holes or even torn earlobes are usually caused by wearing heavy jewelry for several years, or if the earring or piercing gets caught somewhere. The resulting "slit ear" is usually quite conspicuous and many of those affected wish to have it corrected. This can be done under local anesthesia and restore the original shape of the earlobe. • Protruding ears are often the cause of teasing from an early age. The conspicuous shape can be corrected with ear pinning surgery.
