Offer
In the infectiology consultation, we offer outpatient investigations and treatment for bone infections, tick-borne infections and sexually transmitted infections, among other things.
The HIV consultation is dedicated to the long-term care of HIV-infected persons.
The consultation service is involved in the infectiological co-care of patients who are inpatients at the University Hospital Basel.
Our research group investigates the interaction of the immune system with pathogens in immunocompromised individuals. In patients with immunodeficiency, infections often lead to dangerous complications and sometimes even death.
