Bronchoscopy
Thanks to state-of-the-art bronchoscopy methods, the airways can not only be examined in detail, but tissue samples can also be taken from the airways and lungs to diagnose infections, tumors and other diseases. Bronchoscopy also allows therapeutic interventions.

Research
The Department of Pulmonology conducts large clinical trials to improve patient care based on new findings. Translational research uses tissue samples to develop human cell culture models in order to investigate the disease mechanisms of the lungs in more detail. Research focuses on asthma, COPD, lung infections and interstitial lung diseases.

In addition to consultation hours, we have a large lung function laboratory, a sleep laboratory and are renowned in the field of bronchoscopic techniques. We train specialists in pulmonology and offer regular continuing education courses.
