Research
Anesthesiology research includes clinical projects in the fields of cardiovascular medicine, emergency medicine, neuroanesthesia, pediatric airway and intensive care medicine. In addition to critical incident reporting, the human factors group focuses on communication, team interactions and simulations. In the laboratory, we concentrate on malignant hyperthermia, skeletal muscle and pharmacogenetic aspects of anesthesia.

Anesthesiology consists of anesthesia, pain medicine, preclinical emergency medicine and the Intermediate Care Unit. We take care of you during operations, treat pain and look after patients who require special monitoring, treatment and care after operations.
