Postgraduate course in emergency nursing (NDS) HF

Education provider University Hospital

The University Hospital Basel is a training provider for postgraduate studies in anaesthesia, intensive care and emergency nursing (with specializations in adult and paediatric emergency nursing).

Theory-led practice and practice-oriented theory

The degree programs specifically promote professional, methodological, social and personal skills. The curricula are based on relevant, nursing science-based knowledge that corresponds to the latest research in clinical nursing science. The lecturers are anchored in clinical practice and thus ensure both the transfer of medical and nursing innovations into the specialist modules of the respective training and the practical implementation of theoretical knowledge at the place of learning.

Interdisciplinarity

All degree programs also include interdisciplinary modules, which are attended by students from several training courses. These modules are carried out by people from the various nursing disciplines and consciously promote thinking and acting beyond the boundaries of one's own specialist training.

Assessment of learning objectives

Each module is completed individually or in defined groups with an assessment of learning objectives. This remains valid for four years or according to the examination sur dossier and is credited to other postgraduate studies HF and further training at the University Hospital Basel.
