Biomarkers working group

The research focus of our working group, which is housed in the Cardiovascular Research Institute Basel (CRIB), is on acute medical symptoms and clinical pictures. The goals of our research group are:

• to describe the value of clinical examination findings to enable evidence-based clinical investigation.
• to investigate the significance and pathophysiology of acute kidney injury in order to improve risk assessment.
• to establish new biomarkers in situations of existing diagnostic uncertainty.
