Information on training

The aim of occupational therapy is to strengthen people in carrying out activities that are meaningful to them in the areas of self-care, productivity, leisure and recreation in their environment. Occupational therapy uses specific activities, environmental adaptation and advice in a targeted and resource-oriented manner. This allows clients to improve their ability to act in everyday life, their social participation and their quality and satisfaction with life.

For students of the Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences, internships for the practical modules are available at the University Hospital Basel.

Students must be enrolled in the Bachelor's degree program at the respective university and be assigned to an internship there.
