The rheumatology service includes outpatient consultations in the rheumatology outpatient clinic, inpatient investigations and joint interdisciplinary special consultations on the musculoskeletal system. We treat patients with inflammatory and non-inflammatory rheumatological diseases. We work together with Orthopaedics & Traumatology, Spinal Surgery, Dermatology, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Pneumology, Angiology, Transplantation Immunology & Nephrology and other clinics of the USB, the UKBB and other partners.

Das Universitätsspital Basel (USB) hat das Bauprogramm auf dem Campus Gesundheit redimensioniert. Vom geplanten Klinikum 3 wird vorerst nur der Sockel gebaut. Dank weiteren Optimierungen des Flächenbedarfs kann das USB für die nächsten 20-30 Jahre auf den Bau des Turms verzichten. Als langfristige Option wird die Ergänzung mit dem Turm offengehalten. So gewährleistet das USB die nachhaltige Versorgung der Bevölkerung und den Spitalbetrieb.
