Teaching
The academic staff in laboratory medicine are involved in numerous teaching commitments in annual courses in medicine and dentistry as well as in the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Philosophy. Aspects of laboratory medicine are taught over several weeks in the Blood, Infection, Defense block in the second bachelor year of medical studies.
We also offer internships for graduates. Please apply directly to the Department of Education and Training.

Laboratory Medicine is a FAMH-recognized training center:

- FAMH Medical Immunology

BMA training
Laboratory Medicine is a training center for biomedical analysts (BMA) with an interest in: Clinical Chemistry, Diagnostic Hematology, Medical Microbiology and Medical Immunology.

As part of the "Laboratory Medicine Training", topics from diagnostics and questions on analytics are discussed. The lectures are usually held in German.
The "Tuesday Club Infectiology, Hospital Hygiene and Microbiology" seminar series is aimed at interested academics with previous knowledge of infectiology and microbiology. The lectures are held in a mixture of German and English.
The "Infection and Cell Biology" seminar series is aimed at interested academics with previous knowledge of infectiology, immunology and virology. The lectures are mostly held in English.
