Rare tumors
The WHO describes over 120 different types of tumors of the central nervous system. In addition to the more common brain metastases, meningiomas and gliomas, there are also less common tumors such as pituitary adenomas, vestibular schwannomas or lymphomas of the central nervous system.
Some occur in connection with hereditary diseases, such as neurofibromatosis type 1, NF2-related schwannomatosis (formerly neurofibromatosis type 2), other schwannomatoses or von Hippel-Lindau disease.
Thanks to the size of our center and the close interdisciplinary cooperation, we can also treat these rarer diseases with a high level of expertise and according to the latest standards.
"An operation is often the first step in the diagnosis of a brain tumor. With state-of-the-art technology, we can now perform these operations with high precision and very safely."
