Lung Cancer Center

The Lung Cancer Center treats patients with thoracic cancers. The treatment center combines the expertise of six different disciplines from the diagnostic, medical and surgical areas. This is where knowledge and experience are combined with the best technology and state-of-the-art science, as well as respect and humanity.

At our weekly cancer board, we discuss each case individually and with the participation of all specialists in order to be able to offer the best possible evaluation and therapy for each patient. We offer our patients prompt and comprehensive diagnostics and state-of-the-art therapy, as well as comprehensive personal counsel. This service is supplemented by support services in the areas of psycho-oncology, physiotherapy and occupational therapy and, if necessary, additional services.

Members of the Lung Cancer Center regularly exchange information on innovations in their specialized fields and meet for joint training courses. The continued education of our young colleagues, as well as our regular advanced training are also important to us, and we regularly welcome numerous external guests to share and discuss our knowledge and experience.

We expand our patients’ treatment options through our active participation in national and international clinical trials. For example, we are part of the Swiss Working Group for Clinical Cancer Research (SAKK) and are able to make innovative therapies available to cancer patients at an early stage in the Cancer Center.
