Breast diagnostics (examination of the breast)

• Digital mammography including tomosynthesis (3D mammography)
• Sonography (ultrasound)

• Breast biopsy including vacuum biopsy (with ultrasound, mammography or MR mammography control)

The breast diagnostics department of the radiology department participates in the mammography screening program of the canton of Basel-Stadt. You can register directly with us for a mammography.

The mammograms are produced under strict quality control by experienced specialists in medical-technical radiology and assessed by specially trained radiologists. All examinations are carried out using the latest technology mammography equipment, which works in a radiation-saving manner.

The costs of the examination are covered by your basic health insurance. You only have to pay the deductible of 10 percent (about 20 francs). To register, you will need the number on the invitation letter from the Cancer League and the insurance number of your health insurance company.
